This soap opera sounds like Madoff. Even IF family members "knew nothing" one would think that they would at least be curious as to how the patriarchs funded the resort.

On another forum that I read, a member states that this was all a Hollywood prank set up by a friend of Bruce.
Looking closely at some of the DEA guys, there doesn't seem to be any body armour in their torso area, however one of them is packing a 9mm S+W side arm.
So is this an "Overhaulin" prank ?

    It was no prank.
I spoke to someone who was there. All too real.
But he should have his car back very shortly.

Damn. I was looking forward to see what Foose would do with a 935.

It was a gag. Bruce Canepa and some of Meyer's friends pulled an elaborate prank on him. They brought the car back after about 15 minutes and all had a big laugh about it. They told the story at the banquet/party last night.

Wow. Really? The guy that sold it to him was pretty bummed yesterday. And he was there.

That's not a cheap prank. They have a tow-truck and DEA jackets..Bruce probably didn't know whether to cry or laugh but it
sure must've been funny as hell when the car was brought back, the looks on their faces must be priceless.

Great prank though. Probably small change compared to what Bruce paid canepa to restore it!
