1967 911 Coupe - Almost ready to buy

Greetings all. It's been a busy few weeks. I have no new news on the 69S Coupe. In the interim, I've sold the 68 S Targa & picked up a 73 T Targa. It's also black in colour with BeigeGrey being the OEM. It's being delivered, so I'll post the info & photos once I have the car in my possession. I'm also looking to buy a 67 911 Coupe & need your help. How do I know if it's an S model? Production date: February 8, 1967. Same owner last 25 years. Originally a US car. Slate Grey was the OEM colour, its now Irish Green. I've attached a photo.

The data plate on the trunk lip shows:
    Box #1 - Typ 911
    Box #2 - Heizeinrichtung Typ 911~~S 66
    Box #3 - (VIN) 3074XX

Does the "~~S 66" Signify its an S? Does Porsche reuse the VIN#'s? By that I mean, if the car is a regular 911, do they reuse the same # and add an "S" at the end for the upgraded model.

The vin #'s match the COA but don't match the several websites that I use to cross reference.
    engine #: 9112xx / 901.06
    transmission # 13100x / 902.1

No, its not related to 911S model infos.
    These are heater type infos.

From the exterior, it looks like an 67 Normale.

    good luck

    Box 1: model type 911 or 911S, so you have a 911
    Box 2: heater type
    Box 3: VIN
No they do not reuse the VIN's; in 1967 the 911 VIN's were one series with groups of 911S interspersed with groups of 911. The VIN with the S appended is stamped into the body in the front trunk, into the paint badge, and onto the dash frame.
