    Indeed a change I have seen before. Will be added. I have heard of more cars having 2 different ones.

    Jim,
    can you check whether the bumper guard without vent is bigger, more protruded towards the front than the one with slot?


    Here is another one. My 300700 has a short vent drain tube, whereas my 301379 has a long one.

    After some discussion, the only thing we can think of is that someone once (tried to) mount a strutbar, then later did not. This car was a garage find this year, not touched since the mid seventies. Someone started a project but never got anywhere.

    I can't find any difference in dimensions.

    Jacques, #301111 has a long drain tube and no bumper guards.

    Stumbling on the picture below I ve seen dozen of times, I noticed when opening the hood, the metal area -on a white car- is painted black. Any 64 or 65 car has/had still this detail ?

    This must be 1963 or early 1964, 901/902 proto:
