    Yep indeed, looks like the mechanism is much like 356. The plastic caps are also the 356 caps.

    Are these plastic caps easy to find or do they make them again when restoring concours?
    Because 9/10 cars don't have these anymore....

    Here is the back of the front trunk cardboard piece, like I said it is the exact same material as the door cards except it is black/charcoal on the front and the door cards are silver on the front. Name:  WP_20170102_003.jpg

    Be sure you get the right ones for your build month. They changed. As mentioned, during early 1965 months you need the 356 version . Later grey versions are not correct, even before they became black
