Frank, did you find this meanwhile? I have bought an old leather bicycle bag in Indonesia some 15 years ago with such snaps.

    Hi all,
here is an update of the MY 1965 register. I do not publish all cars on record, since for some cars I have too little info and for other cars I agreed with owners not to publish.
The color codes are explained as well (pic 3).

In case you have a new entrant, find your input being wrongly reflected or if you need to change yr input in hindsight, pls PM me.

The register is too big to be posted in one go, so I had to cut it up.

My boot area is on 300882 is very interesting. Apparently the first AFN RHD car (demo) 300474 is the same. The fusebox was moved fairly recently (before my ownership) due to the two horrid speakers on the sides and into a terrible place, just right for the water running down the boot lid on a rainy day straight on it.

Txs Duncan, great to see this here. Was it possible to order a Webasto heater for the RHS? The lid seems to small, I have a hard time to believe it would allow a Webasto to be built in.

Do you know whether yr car was repainted at some point?

as far as i know it was not possible....

No according to all literature I have seen not possible and from own car can confirm there is absolutely no room there for anything bigger than a Twinnings 50 bag box of tea.

Car was painted at least twice, once in a later Cardinal? Red posing as a later 911S with Fuchs etc and once back to original Signal it's sporting now which was 2006 I believe.

Couple more peculiar details of my car.
Dash is "4 button" but has an odd speaker lid. Definitely had it at least since 1970 and looks unmolested. The gear leave knob has a crest on it, again at least dated to the same date.Name: IMG_20200120_134042.jpg

Nice txs. Looks indeed some details were 'modernized' in the 60ties, also MY66 steering wheel and butterfly horn, black wiper arms. Do you know whether on RHD cars the wipers were on the passenger side originally?

Wipers are now original SWF silver :-) As I understand the the wipers siding was quite sporadic , the first AFN RHD (Demo) car 300474 had wipers to the drivers side http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...ps0f4783a9.jpg
301503 is to the passenger side http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...pse8b4376c.jpg
301929 also to the passenger side http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...ps38d89e3e.jpg
    302117 also passenger side http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...ps32fe1b38.jpg
    302146 drivers side http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...ps432ed0c5.jpg

However the originality book says it should be to the drivers side ... so my feeling was that early RHD cars were on customer request rather than pre planned and often ended up various configurations

What is the difference between '65 steering wheel and '66 please educate :-)
