Production Completion Date 'Information Not Available'

My car is a 1972 T with VIN 9112101226 which is missing its VIN decal on the door jamb, so I am getting the reproduction VIN decal / label for my car made up. However, my COA lists the Production Completion Date as 'Information Not Available'. When I called the 1-800-porsche number, they said the information has not been recorded at all. I have asked Porsche if I supply them with the details, would they update their records and they have agreed to do this.

After a little internet sleuthing here, some other production dates for similar VIN's were either unavailable or built in 1971 / very early 1972, and the production dates seem to be out of sequence with the VIN numbering order.


My question is then, if I can 'select my own production month/year', what would be most appropriate or desirable for that VIN?
