    Trim help needed please

Can anyone help me with a part number/place to buy for the plastic trim that pushes into the back of the anodised rear bumper trims on a 73 car please.

My part book shows the part seperately in the diagram but then lumps it with the alloy trim and rubber insert for a part number which surely cannot be correct.

    Thanks in anticipation.

I've just bought two bumpers and they came with them in a separate bag but they were all part of the full kit not an individual part that I know of.

Repro but to be completely honest you can't tell the difference.

I had my originals re anodised as most people indicated the curves were all wrong on the repros and they don't fit properly so I will be interested to hear
back from you once you fit them.

It cost less, they look brand new and I know for sure they fit, I just have to find some plastic trim and I am all good.

Clyde, I agree with you in that it seems the repro beading under the deco has a wider edge showing that the original. I will soon need to chase this, as like you, I get deco re-anodized so I know it will fit. Also possibility Int. Mercantile may have that as a 356 part for example, don't know, just wondering?

Yes your right, it is much thicker all round and the sill deco doesn't want to sit flush like it should.

I also think in its correct form that the side deco and the rear bumper trim I am chasing are a different profile but may have to re check that, I am starting to 2nd guess myself.
