    How does one anodize aluminum wheel nuts?

    Anybody who does anodizing for bikes etc will be able to do them, but I think you may find it cheaper to purchase new

    Tony is right.
    When we restore them, it takes every bit of $6.00 each to do them.
    If you want to refinish them yourself first clean them well and have them stripped. Then polish them but not too shiny and have them black anodized.
    We also inspect for cracks (from over torquing)and galling (from lack of lube). Normal is about 10-20% bad...........Sometimes the whole set is junk from the NASCAR pit crew guys...

    DIY? There was a link on the main Registry website to a DIY anodizing site awhile ago. Requires some commitment to space, containers, chemicals + electricity.

    Commercially? Let Google or Bing do it for you under "anodizing services" in whatever location you prefer. Minimum charge might be $75-100 for a batch, but maybe not cost effective for just 20 nuts.
