    Seat Adjustment 1973

    Hi,

Does anybody know when Porsche changed the seat adjustment at the standard Recaro (horizontal) in 1972/73?
Some seats have only one lock and some have two locks (released by one lever via a cable).

I heard they did it in 1973 because of safety reasons. During a crash test the seats broke out.

Is it possible that a 911 delivered in 02/1973 had seats with only one lock (horizontal adjustment)?????

    Cheers and thanks for reply............Oliver

The carrera Rs book reports that the change happened on feb 23, 1973, so it would be possible IMO.

You can search the board for " double locker", you'll find plenty of references

    Ciao Andrea,

I meant the simple standard seats not the sport seats! Does your answer apply for both?

    I have a 911 S from 02/1973 and I'm wondering if I have the right seats?

    Cheers...........Oliver
