'. . . one of 1,430 911S coupes produced for the model year and was acquired by the seller as a rolling chassis around 18 years ago. It is said to have undergone subsequent rust remediation followed by a repaint in Conda Green, and its replacement 2.2-liter 911/02 flat-six was rebuilt prior to its installation. Additional work included reupholstering the interior in black leatherette, overhauling the suspension and four-wheel disc brakes, refinishing the 15” Fuchs wheels, and installing SSI heat exchangers, Turbo-specification tie rods, and PolyBronze control arm bushings. Shifting is via a five-speed manual transaxle that has been fitted with a taller fifth gear and Wevo mounts, and additional equipment includes front sport seats, a push-button Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, a front lip spoiler, Koni shock absorbers, and Bosch H4 headlights. This 911S is now offered with a tool kit, multiple keys, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

. . . rust repairs were performed in the rocker panels, rear deck, and left door plate strike panel area following the their acquisition, and the car was fitted with a replacement right-front fender and aluminum decklid prior to a repaint in its factory shade of Conda Green. The front badge is a reproduction, and exterior details include a bifurcated front lip spoiler, Bosch H4 headlights and lenses, and a left-side mirror. Paint chips are noted on the hood and replacement windshield along with a paint flaw on the decklid. According to the seller, the left door sags around 1mm when opened.

. . . 15” Fuchs alloy wheels were reportedly refurbished by Weidman’s Wheels of Oroville, California, and they are mounted with 195/65 Goodyear Eagle Sport All Season tires. A matching spare is stored in the front storage area. All four brake calipers have been rebuilt per the seller, who notes that suspension components were powdercoated and Turbo-specification tie rods and Elephant Racing PolyBronze front control arm bushings were installed along with Koni shocks.

. . . front sport seats were reupholstered in black leatherette, and front shoulder belts have been fitted in addition to a refurbished Blaupunkt push-button AM/FM radio. A reproduction shift knob has been installed, and a seam is noted in the rear carpet along with peeling trim around the radio. The rear window defroster does not work, and the seller reports that the trunk release lever requires extra effort to pull. An uninstalled rear seat belt will accompany the vehicle.

four-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of refurbished VDO instrumentation that includes an 8k-rpm tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 27k miles, around 4k of which have been added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown, the clock reportedly runs slowly by around two minutes per week, and the handbrake light is said to remain illuminated.

The mechanically injected 2.2L flat-six is a replacement unit that is said to have been rebuilt prior to its installation by Precision Motion of Colton, California. The MFI pump and throttle bodies are also reported to have undergone rebuilds, and the seller notes that a replacement wiring harness and throttle rods have been fitted along with a high-torque starter, SSI heat exchangers, and stainless-steel fuel lines. The car retains a front-mounted oil cooler, and the batteries were replaced within the last few months according to the seller. A photo of the engine stamping is provided in the gallery below and is consistent with a 2.2-liter unit from a 1971 911S.

The five-speed manual transaxle has been fitted with a taller fifth gear, and WEVO mounts and SSI heat exchangers have also been installed. First gear is occasionally difficult to engage from a stop according to the seller . . .
