I noticed what you meant about the clutch riding with Aaron. I am curious to see if that clutch wears in a bit and starts to feel a little better.

Anyone else out there using a Wevo StreetLite clutch on a street-driven 911 want to chime in with their experience (see post #41)? Would be interesting to hear from you.
Update July 2015: I updated my original post #41 as clutch engagement has become smoother and easier with use.

I just put one in a client's car. Can already tell its going to be interesting in traffic. But it'll TOTALLY be worth it.
As for the Toyos, I agree with you on the RA-1s. The R888s aren't even in the same universe. BUT, if they are primarily your street tire they will serve you well.

The blue high-butterfly '72T has the AP clutch...does the same thing Scott...:/
Yep, I run one in my road car and love it. I does take a short time to get used to (I deleted my Omega spring as it was just too "light" when assisted) and there is some drive-train noise at idle, which I think is part and parcel of a light flywheel not 'smoothing' out the idle.
Stunning car by the way. Absolutely love that green!
PS - can you put me on to who makes that airbox intake piece (the snorkel delete)?

3-4 trips in and out of Chicago and I've practiced pulling away from a standstill 1000+ times. I'm not getting used to the StreetLite clutch in that situation...but maybe it is breaking in? Out on the open road, it's great.
Fabspeed makes the airbox piece complete with a dorky fake carbon fiber graphic (AKA hydrographics - my company used this graphic treatment in the 90's), which Aaron either removed or painted over: http://www.fabspeed.com/911-carrera-...-airbox-cover/

I think I'm mostly done posting photos and descriptions in the first several pages of this thread. I hope you enjoy reading about the car, and will introduce yourself if you see us at a Midwest event. Maybe we'll make it out to one of the coasts for an event...someday.

Awesome build Scott, your car is beautiful and I'm sure you will enjoy more and more it as you accumulate some miles and patina.

O'boy, there is a lot of talent on this board...once again, there's nothing "sexxier" than an early 911 with flairs(especially ST-ones) and fat tires...
Just for my own education:When you guys install dual front oil-coolers...are they plumbed in parallell(same hot engine oil to both coolers but more plumbing) or in series(one after the other)?...I'm not smart enough to tell from your pics...Thanks' for showing us.../ Lars...
