    WTB: Tachometer ballast unit

    I would like to buy the large, tall, round aluminum can on the electrical panel ( missing on the electrical panel of my 2.2 T 70.
    The Bosch number on this item is 0227 990 001.

    Hi Speedo,

    you will find information when searching this forum with the following terms :tachometer intermediate unit
    Basically the "intermediate unit" is a coil running in parallel with the points, when the points are closed, the coil charges up, and when the points open, it discharges into the tacho input lead.

    The part number is# 901.602.601.00......I'm also looking for this part. Anybody have one for sale?
