The Canary yellow GT is my project. 914-6 #970 with factory flares, well equipped with PMB rebuilt calipers,rotors,hard and soft lines and more. It was an honor to have my not quit finished restoration in the PMB booth. The #41 Troutman race car in primer is also a factory Canary yellow car just a bit better condition than what I started with!! Next year #41 will look like its close twin.

I enjoyed The Show

Yeah-yeah --- I was disappointed by the weather. As much as I love rain, I realize that not everyone's all that fond of driving in it . . . especially if they're coming from some ways away. I'm not that crazy about it either --- it's not the 'wet,' per se but all the knuckleheads (in trucks) out there sliding around w/ me that worry me. But this show only happens once a year, so . . . it'd be harder NOT to go. Lotta buzz around 911s lately, too. And The Nasty Car's only a few miles away

Anyway, I'm not sure if it's the weather or some kind of sea-change taking place in The Porsche World, but . . . 911s definitely displaced 356s --- at least as far as cars attending were concerned, this time

Which is too bad. I do enjoy looking-over the Really Old Cars --- seeing their little touches . . . marveling at how far things 've come

As for the New Porsches --- well . . . . 991s rolling on dubs? . . . . do nothing for me

Anyway --- drizzling stopped by late-morning and I left not long after. The freeway traffic back to the lock-up had pretty-much dried-out the roads back, so . . .

. . . fired-up the heater . . .
. . . turned-up the fan . . .
. . . cracked the windows some --- then . . .


. . . . hammered our way home


Now --- I was all ready for a nice/quiet ride back . . . but I'd bounced this silver R32 leaving the venue . . . who then paid me back by sitting on my butt, going into the clover-leaf getting back on The 57, so . . .

. . . I decided I needed a safer distance between us. Boom-shaka-laka-laka


And besides . . . . no better way to dry out an Early 911 than w/ a little heat . . .
