CV joint recommendation for 67 911

Looks like my CV joints need replacement on my 67. Who are the recommended suppliers for quality CV joints? Are the joints available individually or must I buy the entire axle?

I have a SWB vintage race car and have had a difficult time finding quality axles/CV's that hold up for racing.
I understand you're not subjecting them to that extreme but I'd stay away from the cheap Chinese replacement axles if you're looking for quality.

We have had to have replacement axles custom made by Taylor Racing in Texas. I believe the problem is the spline on your old axles doesn't match with the new CV's.
They have all the specs for SWB 911 since they've built a lot of these for us 911 racers.

I heard that race 911s were using race application CV joints. Thank you for the referral!

    Thanks for the lead too!

I know chris7 on the board was looking at a solution also, but haven't seen the results. I understand the cheap CVs don't have enough plunge.

I spoke with chris_seven today and he knows of the recommended vendor and from what he said there isn't enough "plunge" with those CV joints for full droop. He is working on a set of modified flanges for the transaxle and the stub axle in the trailing arm to accept later (LWB) CV joints.

Excellent, that's what I'll sit off on then... I have a spare pair of LWB shafts.
