was 1972 Albert Blue color code 18 or 325?

I ordered a COA for my 1972 Targa and it tells me the original color was Albert Blue/18. I realize there can sometimes be errors on COA's so I confirmed with Porsche and they told me the Kardex says Albert Blue and the paint code is indeed18. However, everything I see on the internet (other than the Glasurit website) says Albert Blue was paint code 325 in 1972, not 18. The Glasurit website shows Albert Blue was both code 18 and code 325 for 1972/73 however Albert Blue wasn't a standard color in 1973. To make me more confused, the Glasurit website shows Tangerine was also code 18 in 1972. Can anybody make heads or tails of this?

Do you have a paint tag in your door jamb?
My '70 is 1818, Albert Blue. They changed the number scheme for the paint codes somewhere around '71/72 IIRC. I bet 325 is also AB.

It is possible that Karmann-bult vehicles have 2-digit codes. I ran into this with my turquoise T.

thanks, but I see 1810 as the Albert Blue code for a '71 Targa and 1818 the Albert Blue code for a '71 coupe. This is a '72 Targa and from what I understand the Albert Blue code changed to 325 for '72. The COA and Kardex says Albert Blue/18 and not 1818. The weird thing is the Glasurit website has both Abert Blue and Tangerine as 018 for '72. How can the same Glasurit code be used for two different colors?
