    Engine knock under load

I have a question. I have a 71e with a stock 2.2. I got the car back from a rebuild, and things are good. However, some themes when the car is under load, a distinct rattle can be heard. I back of the gas, and it goes away. I know I have to work this up, and looking for advice. I have a Air Fuel meter in the exhaust, and the car seems to be on the rich side (11).

I am looking to check the valve clearance first. I have been reading about broken head stud bolts ( hope not). The timing seems good, but will recheck. Not sure How I can check for timing advance.

!. check your dwell and timing
    2. Are you lugging the engine? What revs show when you hear the noise?
