Jeff's car is mostly stock. Mine is not even close to stock. If it's a tight course, good luck Frank.
I talked to Jeff and he said you are damn good also.

I'll stay out of this now and watch.

No hot rods. 160 HP vs 102. 42/58 vs 44/56. Blunt force trama vs grace and agility. I want to hear Frank's in car when he's pounding on me, too!

Can I get in on this with my white car? It's completely stock, too, honest.

I know...1966 912 vs 1968 911S at the Coupe des Alpes last year...but I still like both of them...

    Very similar sensation.

I understand intellectually the 912 should be the "little brother" but unfortunately they are more like the weird cousin. The one who finds his other cousins attractive.
    Frank:

I really can't believe you would equate a Porsche 912 with the female gender to make a point. Rationally and empiracally this shows a definite tendency for insecurity . So be it.... Having plenty of seat time in 911's ( over 500,000 miles) and many miles in 912's , I believe your analogy draws a reader to a conclusion that this breed of Porsches is lacking testosterone. Not true friend. These cars pack plenty of punch for their Power/weight ratio , and will make the driver "pay-attention". As far as SWT's go, I have lots of seat time in both 911 & 912 cars of this gender, and this breed is if NOT the most sexiest, one of the sexiest Porsche you can own !!! Just opining FB, NOT personal !!

Properly driven and with the same suspension (sway bars, wheels, tires and Koni's) the 912 will blow a 911 away on a twisty road if you never get to a straightaway!
I've seen Jeff drive his 912 and can attest that he is very difficult to keep up with in the 912 on tight bits were power is not as important as balance and nimbleness. I have a felling that jeff provides a big percentage of the effectiveness.

it is hard to replicate the sound of an H6 in the back of a SWT I can tell you that much. I drove a 68 912 SWT with a 5 speed and have my 68 911 SWT with a 5 speed. The engine sound alone makes the 911 feel so much faster. The 912 is a beautiful cruiser, the 911 is more of a screamer. Like em both tho!

Ok, let's rope this in people. The 912 is about beauty and elegance. I love my lady and she speaks to my feminine side. All that nasty old 911S did is beat me up. Always screaming at me from behind. Such an angry noise that flat six made. I feel so much better with the delicate tapping of the push rods and the screaming of the oil starved main bearings.
