    Need info, on purchased 72S

    Hi Guys
Well I was wondering if you can give me some info on a 72s I have found. It is a former race car from the early eighties.
Car needs a lot of attention as it was converted to a 74 IROC look at some point. The tub looks very solid rust is not an issue.
The car has been stripped of anything original. Turbo brakes, coilovers, all bushings replaced fiberglass fenders lexan windows fuel cell etc. It is a proper track car, but here lies the dilemma:

-The Vin number in the trunk was covered by a pass through cage.
-The Vin on the pillar was stripped at some point. Only thing remaining is the vin
    on the front trunk plate.
-Car also has the 72 fender oil filler.
-Car came with a bill of sale so I need to get the ownership transferred and I was wondering if there are any other places a vin would be stamped.

Anyone have experience with an issue like this (sorry my question mark key is not working)

Congrats on the car! Not sure if this will help but on the earlier cars the vin number was also stamped on the dashboard just above the radio I believe, but they may have stopped that when the VINs went longer then 6 digits, perhaps an expert will chime in?

    Good luck~

The numbers on the dash frame below the radio is a production #. The factory can confirm if a VIN & production number matches, but that is about all they will do with the production #. I am building a database of these #'s to help plot the progression of the numbers with the VIN's.

Thanks guys I will look for that number. That
Should do the trick . Has anyone had issues with
registering a car with only a bill of sale? I'm sure this varies
    From state to state

Congratulations! Can you disclose the VIN and post a picture, just for the records?
    Thanks
