correct boge strut for 1967-68 Targa

Friends,

what is the correct boge strut for a 1967-68 911 Targa? i found boge 32-388-F, but i can't find a cross-match from the Porsche parts book.

Help, please?

They were the ones I had in my 68. I changed them for Konis subsequently.

An interesting issue. My '68 Targa needed new shocks and I asked my Porsche dealer for Konis. He said, "way too stiff," and I ignored him. What a mistake. The Konis, even on the softest setting, were painful on a concrete highway with tar expansion strips. I later found out why Porsche put the softer shocks on the Targas.

Talk to a shop that does early cars - their parts guy will know. Strut inserts are slightly different for SWB and LWB cars, and a couple of the manufacturers no longer list an insert for SWB cars. However, you can use the LWB inserts on SWB cars - you just need the proper top bush. I think Boge now provides these when you buy LWB inserts.
Most shops I've talked to recommend Boge or Bilstein (non - sport) for Targas.
