Want. But not badly enough. More specialist, more exotic, but did not age as well. And the moderne ones are silly wide, why. Land yachts. Not minimalist. Fussy.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.
Uli, Michelotti has always been quite flamboyant... But I actually like the beach car done by them as well as the racing Daytona!
John, thank you for your lovely photos! Wonderful cars! Especially the Bertone-bodied Aston DB4 GT, so similar to the Ferrari 250 done by them!
And I still remember the 312P coupe when I visited the Cartier Foundation in Paris exhibiting the Bardinon collection in July 1987. I was 18, travelling Europe by train after having just graduated from high school in Austria. To go to Paris I took a major detour on my way from Stockholm, Sweden to Rapallo, Italy. Well, crazy times!
Still have the exhibition catalogue and the entrance ticket...
Keep up the speed!

The one and only 'Shark nose' Bertone 250GT.......
This incredible car has been presented in 3 different colors since the first time I saw it in the early '80's at the Santa Barbara polo fields concours...

+1 for the 308GTB. Here's a picture of my 'Vetroresina' (fibreglass) model which shows off that Pininfarina shape. I think most Porsche owners appreciate
a beautiful Ferrari, and the 250 TR is the most beautiful of them all. I would have thought the roll hoop would be best taken off when not racing though.
cheers, Mike

Mike,
gorgeous shot of this very beautiful and most desirable & collectible of the V-8 Ferraris. Hopefully it still has the original Webers, since the injection & emission controls plus the extra weight of the steel body later on really emasculated these cars.
The reason Love's '58 has the permanent roll bar is that it was never not a race car ( terrible English, but I don't know how to put it more effectively any other way ) since he bought it used in '64……..accumulated more than 32,000 miles on tracks all over the country - fifty years under one owner, remarkable. I never once heard David give the slightest thought to value, or the usual "too nice, too rare, too expensive etc". to drive. He just loved racing, then vintage racing after the late '60s, and later still, as his health began failing, being involved with CSRG and the Historics.

Chuck,
Thanks for posting these photos of the real thing. I knew somebody would immediately notice my attempt to pass off the Bertone A-M as the Ferrari Shark-nose , but I just don't have any digital photos of it, and my scanner is non-functional, so I can't digitalize my film images.
Cheers,
JZG
