"The one and only 'Shark nose' Bertone 250GT":

You know for years this car was owned by an L.A. drummer named Bill Karp who used to load his drums in the back! Ah man that is just so great to be around at a time when these cars were just cars, no matter how cool they were. Not that I'm complaining, all times are good times, someone will look back at today and say something similar I'm sure.

Has Mr P. sold its Daytona based Shooting brake? It seems to be registered in Belgium, isn't it?
I really like its Lamborghini Flying Star 2.

    GREAT shots Anatol...

Glad you got the 'shark noise' in it's present blue.... I'll try to did up the one shot I found of it in maroon...

Nice shot of 250LWB double bubble Zagato ... This car is owned by SoCal Zagato collector David Sydorick...

David also owns the one and only, infamous 'Car behind the brick wall', chassis #2121 double bubble Maserati A6G2000...

A car that I knew dearly in my sorted teenage past.....

Sorry for Maser content in a Ferrari thread.........

Yes, it belonged to a collector in Belgiuim who only has shooting brakes .
I think it was at another auction in the meantime as was his Aston Martin DB 5 Shooting brake.
The 330 I think is also his.
I think I haven't expressed enough that I absolutetly love shooting brakes!

Thanks John, and yes all very original and as one of the very early 308's it has the dry sump engine with as you say the 4 weber downdraft carbs.

This special engine spec was done to homologate the new V8 for racing, and after this initial production run it went wet sump and then fuel injection and
not so good. Sadly the dry sump engine didn't make it over to the US, so it makes the euro cars quite sort after, but there are only 154 RHD versions so
    this one's pretty rare.

You can see a couple of webers for the rear bank under the airbox and the dry sump oil tank in the foreground in this picture.

it's sad...you just don't gaze at any of these new creations and think to yourself.....that is amazing craftsmanship that went into building that vehicle....even if the older shooting brakes weren't your cup of tea, you could not dispute the craftsmanship that went into the build....none of today's high end creations...no matter who the manufacturer is exude craftsmanship

This incredible car has been presented in 3 different colors since the first time I saw it in the early '80's at the Santa Barbara polo fields concours...
    - Maroon
    - This Silver
    - And now, dark non-metallic Blue
