Engine Bay Decal Placement - 68 911L ROW

    Hello,

Just putting the finishing touches to my 68 911L mid life freshen up.

I have a new set of the correct engine bay decals that Camford Classics reproduced, and was wondering if anyone has a digital picture of the positioning of the decals on the engine bay closing panel.

My understanding of positioning (from my freind Dennis Brooks - gulf 908) is as follows:

    From right to left
    1. firing order
    2. valve adjustment
    3. oil level
    4. tyre pressure
    5. tyre pressure(again)
    6. alternator

    Is this correct?

If you could also post pictures - it would help my restorer as well.

    Thanks,

    Justin

Does the order change over the years or does it stay the same?

A respray of my 1971 targa left off all the decals. I acquired replacements from Stoddard but am unsure of the order. Are they the same for 1971?

This is good to know. Same for 67 I bet? The Canford Classics red border decals are REALLY nice

The order is the same for all, however not all cars got both tire decals, one was for higher sustained speeds, don't know what dictated use of the higher speed one. I think that the alternator "must be of same manufacturer " may not have been used before 67, as up to that time only Bosch was supplied.
