Correct Dip Stick for a 71?

So my manual says my car should have about 8 Liters of oil, but with a hot and running engine both my dip stick and oil level indicator shows me a low level. But if I add the 1.5L to get correct level my engine starts to smoke a lot.
Here a picture of my dip stick and another one that I found around.
(Gold one is the one in my car) Is it the correct one for my 71 T?

    Thanks!

I have the same dilemma. No smoke thought, but don't know if the dip stick is the right one for the car... looking forward to see what comes out of this thread...

Are you getting the stick all the way in?? It should go into the tube all the way to the finger grip.
