Blaupunkt Frankfurt Euro: ascending vs. descending dials?

I've noticed that some Blaupunkt Frankfurt Euro models have the 104 of the FM band on the left-hand side while others have it on the right…is this difference due to a model year thing or a LHD vs RHD difference? I don't think I've seen the US versions in any other way but the dial ascending up to 108 left to right. Any ideas?
