Hood badge identification help needed

Well here we go again, I bought a bunch of hood badges and I need some help in figuring out what is what. #1 badge come off my 71 911T but I would still like some feedback.

Not trying to be a wise-ass or to be sarcastic, but I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean by "figuring out what is what". I'm fairly confident however that I can tell you the following about the badges:

Numbers 1, 6, 7, 8 are early Porsche badges, i.e. from introduction of the 911 in '64 through part of the '74 model year. I would say that they seem to be genuine, good condition item - #7 is a 356 item.

The rest are for the later cars, i.e. later in the '74 MY run when they ran out of the 'orange bar" badges - based on the orangy corral red, opaque enamel bars vs. the translucent dark red laquer under the clear coating bars in the later badges.

In my opinion badges Numbers 4 & 5 are cheap, bad reproductions that shouldn't be mounted on any 911 - one look at the rivets ( by 'rivets' I mean the background stippling of the field ), the thickness of the hores ankles, the datails in the antlers, and the gaudy, brassy plating gives them away. I'll go further and state that IMHO they have no value.

To help you a little more definitively, and to illustrate how I arrived at some of my conclusions, allow me to post some evidence to back up my contention above:

Photo #1 shows the original badge on my '70 911, still on my car.
Photo #2 shows an early 'orange-bar' badge restored to like-when-it-was-new condition by a master.
Photo #3 shows a reproduction later-era badge on a car that was advertised as 100% original at an auction.
Photo #4 shows what to me looks like the exactly identical badge at one of the well-known vendor's booth at the '13 L.A. Lit show at a price that I simply won't mention here because my esteemed fellow members would call me crazy or a liar.
Photo #5 shows another original 'orange-bar' badge I recently bought ( on the left ) and a reproduction I bought from Stoddard for $50.00 last year, which in my opinion is as good a reproduction as I've seen yet.

I sincerely hope the foregoing aids you somewhat in the search to determine "what is what".

The one that stoddard shows on its website now sure doesn't look that good. Did they change vendors?
