  1. #21
    Hi LivefromNY,
so I might try to get a Kardex for my car as well. Below a picture of the old papers I have with the car. Does anything look remarkable to you
I was pretty amazed to say the least.

So the millions and millions of dollars we base our restorations and purchasing on is a 2-tier, putty colored file cabinet?

I find myself in Europe these days (the car is the US) Is there a way to get a copy of my Kardex while over here? I wasn't sure which country had the problems with privacy laws---the US or ze Germans.

Last thing I heard was that there was a possibility in the UK to get a Kardex for your car, but I'm not sure it still works. I can get a hi-def copy of any Kardex until 1969 for twice the price of a COA. Not for LWB.

Info from a April built 1971 911S (ex Milou 's 911S owned by Siffert).
Not the Kardex but built sheet from 1971. 1180 that is.

    908 and 909, pretty cool!
Wonder how close the production numbers are on these two cars. Recently checked on my 2,2. The chassis before was not close as I had expected.

No, it was delivered to Switzerland; the C10 code is the tell tale here. So there should also be an AMAG number for the car.

    Yes swiss car papers.
SH is not a dealer code, but shortcut of a canton/state , SH stands for Schaffhausen, a canton close to Germany.
Those papers are not factory related but official swiss road registration papers, ie title.

Note also the country code CH for Switzerland and as always, all documents are written in three of the four official languages we speak.
Schaffhausen is swiss gernan ie ROT for red. If it would be a Geneva (GE) car it would be written in french ie rouge for red and if registred in southern switzerland (TI) , the authoritys would write this document in italian.
