I agree; for 1972 MY, "Light Metal Wheels - 6J x 15, Tires - 185/70 VR 15" definitely means Fuchs. Your would NOT have 185/70 VR tires on 5 1/2" wheels.

It is model year 1969 and earlier. The Kardex info after that is stored on microplan and apparently there is no way to copy it.

That's incorrect. I have a Kardex for my 1970 911S and my 1970 911T. So it's 1970 and earlier as I said. The '71 and later information can be accessed if you know the right person, you just won't get a physical Kardex.

I saw the kardex file on a visit to the factory in 2010. They are on card stock and hand written. They had owner information on them which is why they are no longer available, privacy issues. They contained options, warranty information, and service records if the dealer sent it in. One of the people on the tour had information regarding his 73RS given to him, but he was not allowed to read the kardex. I have heard that some people have been able to get copies of theirs.

I believe your COA refers to Fuchs wheels, but only because it talks about light metal wheels, not because of the width. I have seen a set of 6JX15 steel wheels produced in late 1971 on an early 1972 911T, so while the norm may have been 5.5 inch width, I think it was possible to order cars with the wider steel wheels.

The Mahle alloy rims are cast magnesium and are just 5.5" wide, so they can be ruled out.
Also there were Fuchs forged aluminum in 5.5" x x14", and these can be ruled out.
So only the Fuchs 6" x 15" fit the bill.

Thank you all for the clarification on what wheels my car had. So I guess the remaining question, does anybody know, or know of a contact who has access to the '71 and later Kardex files? I suspect this person is most likely over in Europe somewhere.

I still don't think that an actual Kardex is available for '71 and later cars. I was under the impression that it was '70 and earlier but some people seem to think it was only '69 and earlier. I've had several members email me since my previous post saying "Are you SURE you got a Kardex for a 1970 car?"...

The holy grail is just a file cabinet, so close yet so far. And a stated previously they do go past '71, at least through '73.

Yes, it does! Very interesting and thanks for sharing. This is only the second time I have seen a Kardex on a 70MY. The other one is Rick´s car. I have been wondering if the first owner was documented on other cars also, or if Rick´s was special because it was a Versuch sold to Siffert.

I also noticed the Händler-nr: SZ. Do you know who sold it new? Have not seen that code before and the two letter format is not discussed in the thread about Händler codes. This is a US delivery car, yes?
