My condolences for your loss. Dogs truly become such a big part of our lives. We lost our Golden Retriever a couple of years ago, we had him for almost 14 years, which is a great life for that breed. Took us a long time before we could get another dog. We still miss him.

My girl, "Skidmore." She was thirteen and had to put her down, one of the worse days of my life, but they were thirteen great years. I always say, there is a heaven were our pets and us meet to spend an eternity together.

She is a beautiful, intelligent English girl. But alas, she does not like cars

True fact - we have a lot of hardwood, and she "drinks from the bottom of the bowl" as they say... was making a huge mess. It took us one day to train her to stay in the laundry room after drinking, and wait there for someone to dry her face. Sometimes at night while the family is watching a show she will be in there for 30 minutes before we notice she is missing from her spot by the couch ... sure enough, she's in the laundry room fast asleep.

    Best Dog Ever.

This is our gang. From left we have a tri-red australian shepherd, german shepherd (still a pup in this pic), border collie, and tri-black australian shepherd. Our great pyrenees passed away just before this picture was taken. Quite a job keeping these guys exercised but they are a great bunch.
