Not quite, but the classic driver ad, has been posted in 2014.

Please let me know what kind of shock tower (passenger side) this car has nowadays.

If the asking price was €675,000.00, what did it sell for?

Hi folks, me again. Arthur Smid from www.atico.nl who discovered #300170 in 1992 in a barn, with an early '65 engine, and paid 9.200 $ for it. http://atico.nl/camelot/porsche64uk.html
Of course it hurts me that I sold the car for 135.000 Euro in February 2011 to fund a new project.
I was diagnosed with a brain tumor in January 2011 and I wanted to put a mark at the horizon for myself. With this RS replica http://www.atico.nl/camelot/rsclone.html that has become perfect and will even become more perfect after installing an original RS engine (#6668025) in a month or so. The rebuilt of that engine is in process now. http://www.atico.nl/camelot/6668025.html
But more people may feel stupid. Mind that I have advertised #300170 from 2008 on! For the same 135 K. I have advertised in the usual international magazines and glossy's. Nobody responded, apart from 2 collectors, from which only one visited me. Both found my offer too expensive. I wrote several collectors and (international) musea. No response whatsoever... And I have asked Paul Stephens (the builder of my RS clone) if he wanted to trade in my #300170. He did not dare to do so, not for 135 K. In that same period Eade Hopkinson auctioned his beautiful '64 911 for about the same sum BTW.
It is a mad, mad world and predicting is very difficult, especially when it comes to the future. But I am still alive and kicking. And enjoying my early Porsches.

Arthur,
I will continue trying to decipher your post but in the meantime I'm thrilled that you're doing well and very thankful for the meaningful contribution you've made to the '64 911 universe.
Please don't make yourself a stranger here.
"Tears of a clone" now thats some RS poetry if I ever heard any ♥

No tears, my friends. I am healthy, happy and well to do and these are my daily drivers. So there is little reason for crying. And for my contribution to the early 911 scene, that probably refers to my illustrated register of '64 911's. Mind that I have started to collect these data when I was pissed of for what Porsche AG has done in 1998 and after I was expelled from the Dutch Porsche 356 Club because of my determination in that matter: http://www.atico.nl/camelot/seinfeld.html
I wanted to track down all the blue '64 911's and things ran out of hand, resulting in this website, a positive result of negative energy.
Meanwhile I have transferred the register to Erik van Kouwenhoven for the reasons described on the page: http://www.atico.nl/camelot/register.html
Ciao,
Arthur
You're a bad boy Arthur.
