    Glass Polishing

Has anyone had experience in polishing out scratches or found a service that polishes glass?
    Techniques?
    Products?
    tools?
    Secret Potions?

Guess the lack of response pretty much answers your question. I thought I had seen some previous threads where folks described their success polishing out scratches, but I have never been successful doing it.

Polishing glass is possible and if you have skill patience and right devices can give you incredible results.
I polished my heavy scratched glass and it now seems new.
You need a rotary polisher and a Dual Acton polisher with rayon pad and a cerium oxide compound.
I used CarPro pads and compound.
The process required about 4 hours of work and leaded to a like new windshield glass.
For really deeeeeeep scratches you can sand the glass.... But please before sanding a glass make some test on a old unused car glass.

I been trying to get the acid rain spots from original glass off too.. I have used white vinegar straight 5% with a non sctrach pad.. werid blue powder is coming off..

It looks 75% better and pops with reflection now.. .. But i still see the dots in the outside glass.. Reading online vineger baking soda mix with 00 wool pad.. I am going to give it a go,,

its hard work rubbing and rubbing to break the scale..

I have a guy I use here in Austin who's great but they're hard to find. Many of them won't do automotive, only commercial.

Worth remembering also that the commercial glass polishing will remove original logo, obviously depending which side the scratches are on.

I have heard that a clay bar can sometimes do wonders. If needed, follow up with Cerium oxide. Griots Garage has products you can use.

A good polisher can preserve any logos or markings. My guy tapes them off then feathers the polishing around the logo and buffs it out. Turns out beautifully.
