One of my personal favorites ... the Alfa Romeo T33/3
Nice shot Mark/Coop,
That's the 1971 T33/3 of Pescarolo/de Adamich that came in 1st. in 3 lt. and 3rd. overall behind the two 917's of Rodriguez/Oliver (1st.) and Siffert/Bell (2nd)
Looks like de Adamich's helmet in the shot.......
Andrea de Adamich drove for Carlo Chiti's Auto Delta (Alfa Works) team from the very beginning..... Great driver
Thanks

I scanned this from some negatives Coop lent me. Number 28 car is the Vic Elford & Kurt Ahrens 917 and I haven't figured out who is in the #53 911 (looks like 53 anyway)
Cool shot but isn't in perfect focus.

My crystal ball says that the #53 911S was the Erwin Kremer/Karl Von Wendt Auto Kremer entry, which finished 18th overall. Can you imagine hammering around Spa in that 911 and having one of the 917's come blowing past?!? Thanks for sharing this great photo. -- David
Thanks David ... I hope to scan a few more from this group. Even though most are outtakes, they're pretty amazing.
I read this on Petrolicious and it made me think of this thread:

I'll never be able to afford one of these amazing Heuers...but I'm very happy to have the Autavia I do own
I am very saddened, heartbroken and pretty much devastated to report that I've only just now found out about the passing of my former editor and friend Charles (Coop) Cooper.
If you've followed this thread, you know what a special human being he was. There's been way too much death in my life lately. ...and I don't imagine that's going to stop

Mark,
I'm SO sorry for your personal loss, and moreover the car racing community's loss....
With sympathy,
Chuck

Thank you Chuck. I'm feeling very sad. He was incredibly humble about his accomplishments. I worked with him for years and never knew about his covering motorsports until he found out I was interested in Porsche.
There's this too from the Examiner:
