    Seller's Description:

Amazing opportunity for a collector or dealer. Invest in and own a fully restored classic Porsche with matching engine, transmission and chassis, verified by the Porsche COA at a very affordable price.

This is a 1969 Porsche 911 E Karmann Coupe with all matching numbers verified by the Porsche factory issued COA.

A full high quality restoration has been done with much attention to detail. All its documents are in order. We have in hand a clear title for this non-salvage vehicle. The engine is 2.0/140 hp. Top speed 134 mph.

The original injection pump was rebuilt by MFIWerks in Oregon. It has the original 5-speed manual transmission which was sandblasted. It was checked by a specialist and in good condition. The original paint was completely scraped to bare metal revealing no accidents. The body was finished with high quality paint using its original color, light ivory / 6804.

The interior is black and was restored with original German materials like the Hargarn carpet. All the chrome parts have been refinished. The underbody rockers and pan were in excellent condition and required minimal attention. The dash gauges and radio are original and in good working order. A compression test has been done and revealed good even compression across all cylinders. The engine has good power and runs really good.

The tires are new and the original Porsche rims have been refinished. The break system is all new, including the master cylinder, break pads and break rotors. It has upgraded stainless steel heat transfer boxes with new heater boxes. The suspension is great and the car handles excellent.

Overall it's a very good restoration and you will find new parts all over.

    - Fitted with a 2.7ltr high-compression engine built by Manfred Rugen
    - Lovely narrow bodied 911 in a rare period colour
    - Exceptionally well prepared aircooled 911 ready to be enjoyed

This example offered here was acquired by our client in 2008 as a dry Californian 911 ready for restoration. The body and all fixtures and fitting both inside and out were fully restored by respected German specialists over the course of 2 years. The owner also decided to have famed Porsche engine builder Manfred Rugen build a 2.7ltr specification engine. All invoices for the works completed are on file and will accompany the car.

Presented beautifully in Slate Grey over black leather and retaining the original narrow body look, but with a powerful and exceptionally well built engine, this is a wonderful Hot Rod 911.

    Seller's Description:

This car was imported from California into Canada in July 1988. I purchased it from the owner that brought it to Winnipeg and it has being parked since September 1988. Intended to use it more but I was working outside the country then and later had a family and new business to look after. A service sheet shows the mileage at 91230 in June of 1988 and current reading is 94627 miles. The serial numbers which I can't get a CoA anymore appear to be correct for the year and model. Transmission serial number 91502773443, Engine number 62332978. While parked the right front fender was damaged by another vehicle. This fender was likely one that had been replaced previously and shows a lot of surface rust. The rest if the car shows very little rust other than a bit of mostly staining around manufacturing perforations. All the pans are good on both sides. As the car has been parked for 30 years , tires and various seals have deteriorated. The Fuchs wheels (5) are all in excellent shape. The engine still turns over. The original steering wheel was replaced by a sporty one but the original is included (see in trunk picture).

    BaT Description:

This 1970 Porsche 911E coupe is a US-delivery model that was reportedly exported to the UK at some point in its life and returned stateside a few years ago. It is a non-sunroof example that has been repainted in Gemini Blue and features black leatherette upholstery. Power comes from a 1971 911E 2.2L flat-six, which is equipped with Weber carburetors and mated to a 915 five-speed manual transaxle from a later 911. Between July and September 2019, the seller had the fuel tank replaced, the heating flaps disconnected, and a compression test performed as outlined below. This 911E is now offered with recent service records, an owner’s manual, and a clean Massachusetts title.

The exterior received a color change to Gemini Blue years ago according to the selling dealer. The finish is shown up close in the photo gallery below, with the seller noting smaller imperfections throughout. The car features chrome lower rocker trim and retains US-market “sugar scoop” headlight rings. 15″ Fuchs wheels are currently mounted with Kumho Ecsta ASX tires. The front trunk compartment is shown in the gallery and contains a full-sized spare wheel.

The interior features black leatherette upholstery, salt-and-pepper carpets, and a white headliner. As are the sun visors and the floors underneath the carpets. An Alpine in-dash CD player has been added along with aftermarket speakers. A four-spoke steering wheel and factory gauges have been retained, while 911S badging is applied to the glovebox cover. 5,700 miles are shown on the odometer, with total chassis mileage unknown.

Out back, the replacement 1971 911E 2.2L flat-six is equipped with dual Weber carburetors and pressure-fed chain tensioners. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 915 five-speed manual transaxle from a later-model 911. The Boston Sportcar Company completed over $3k of maintenance in September 2019, including replacing the fuel tank, fitting new front hood struts, replacing a headlight bulb, fixing the horn, and disconnecting the heater flaps. A compression check was carried out in September 2019, with results for each cylinder listed.

Per the seller, the front floor pan was replaced years ago.

    Auction Description:

    - The 911E shares much with top-spec 'S' but has more torque than either the 'T' or the 'S'
    - This beautiful matching-numbers car was originally delivered to the USA in January 1970
    - Recent complete nut and bolt restoration by Porsche specialists 'Theon Design' back to its original specifications (as shown on the Porsche COA)
    - The original 2.2-litre MFI flat-six engine has been rebuilt by Porsche specialists 'Strass' of Leeds
    - Fitted with Porsche's semi-automatic transmission known as ‘Sportomatic’
    - Simply stunning in Ivory with a black leatherette basket-weave interior

The car presented here is a matching-numbers, 1970 Porsche 911 2.2-litre MFI Sportomatic coupe, originally delivered to the USA in January 1970, then it was exported to the UK around 20 years ago, where a slow restoration was started. This process was started afresh in 2017, when it was the subject of a complete, exacting and fully documented restoration carried out for the most part and overseen by marque specialists THEON DESIGN of Oxfordshire.

As with the rest of this beautiful 911, the original 2.2-litre, flat-six engine has been restored, in this case by another Porsche specialist, Strass of Leeds. There are bills for an engine rebuild including replacing the cylinders and pistons, overhauling the MFI unit, and fitting new pipework and hoses. The list of refurbished or replaced parts is extensive and also includes a new alternator and starter motor. The engine has been prepared and detailed by THEON, the green ‘E’ engine cover has been refurbished back to as-new condition, and the whole engine bay looks as good as the exterior.

Finished in its original Ivory White paintwork, a great deal of love and care has been invested in the car’s bodywork with a total strip down to the bare metal, new panels, subsequent alignment and a painstaking professional respray.

The cabin too has been superbly returned to original specification. All parts have been removed and, where possible, retained albeit stripped, retrimmed or painted. The original Porsche Comfort seats were disassembled, and every part was overhauled. The internal seat frames were blasted then repainted and the foams have been replaced with original specification/shape to make them as comfortable as when they were new, prior to being re-trimmed in the original material. Likewise, the brightwork has all been re-chromed and looks superb. The headlining, carpets and upper post trim have all been replaced with as-new spec materials, whilst the dials were disassembled, checked, cleaned, refurbished, then reassembled. The original steering wheel has also been re-trimmed. A period-correct Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio, in addition to a new Porsche dash centre speaker, has been sourced and installed in the car and the instrumentation and switch-gear are clean, crisp and fully operational.

The suspension and brakes have also been fully refurbished. All of the suspension, (including torsion bars, wishbones and dampers), and brake hardware has been stripped and assessed, then overhauled or replaced if damaged or corroded beyond repair. Parts have been blasted and powder coated where possible and all the bushes and bearings have been replaced.

All new brake lines, discs and pads, with refurbished calipers, including new pistons, seals and bleed nipples were fitted as were a new brake master cylinder and new handbrake cables. The restored (original-date stamped), 5.5 x 14” Fuchs wheels look stunning in their new factory finish of satin black and chrome and the original set of Porsche wheel centre caps have also been refurbished to match the wheels and are a fitting final detail.

The expression ‘better than when new’ is often over-used in relation to restored classic cars, but it couldn’t be more apt in the case of this 911. This is a simply lovely example of a classic Porsche and is not to be missed.

    BaT Description:

This 1973 Porsche is one of just 1,055 911E Targas built for the model year and is finished in Sepia Brown over a beige/tan leatherette interior. The car was sold new in Texas and spent time in California before being acquired by the seller out of Virginia in April 2016, reportedly from its original owner. Power is supplied by a numbers-matching 2.4L injected flat-six, which is paired with the original Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 15″ ATS wheels, front and rear stabilizer bars, and chrome wheel well moldings. This 911E is now offered for sale with service records beginning in 2009, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, factory manuals and tools, and a clean Virginia title in the seller’s name.

Sepia Brown (54) paint is shown up close and from a number of angles in the gallery of 350+ photos. The rear decklid has been repainted, and the seller notes that areas of the undercarriage and inner front hood were also refinished during refurbishment of the fuel tank. 15” ATS “cookie cutter” wheels wear Kumho Ecsta tires. The car retains US-spec “sugar scoop” headlight rings and factory wheel well moldings. The front bumperettes and removable targa top molding have been removed but are included in the sale.

Tan leatherette seats are joined by matching carpets, a black dashboard, and two-tone door panels. A Blaupunkt push-button radio and four-spoke steering wheel are equipped. The A/C has been removed, though components from the system are included in the sale. The 150-mph speedometer contains a five-digit odometer that shows 33k miles, approximately 400 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.

The 2.4-liter flat-six features mechanical fuel injection and is linked with a five-speed manual transaxle. Oil-fed chain tensioners have been installed, and additional work performed since 2009 is outlined on a list and in receipts provided. An oil change was completed last year, and the brake fluid was flushed in 2016. Stamping *6231784* matches the number listed on the Porsche CoA, indicating engine originality. Transmission stamping is 339946 also matches the CoA. The suspension pan was replaced and the lower left side skirt was repaired with a welded-in panel in 2015 by Eurofinish LTD. of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Additional photos of the underbody and rockers are provided. The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity lists the factory colors, optional equipment, and powertrain numbers.
