    Thumbs up

Pete, THANK YOU for Rare Shades 4. As a spectator, Great relaxing time. The people, cars, DTLA vibe, ALL made it a recipe for success. Good to catch up with you too. Loved seeing the new 2017-18-19's in Early 911 colors. Parked next to a Early 911, same color.
Pete, I want to second Ray's post.... GREAT event, very relaxing, wonderful turnout... and a time to catch up with old friends... All the sequenced colors were something to remember...

Will try to post more later....

    Cheers,
    Chuck

    Cool

So this was interesting... as least to me...

When I was placed in the 'blue row' the car they parked next to me was a newish 991 in an interesting metallic blue. I asked the owner what color it was, and he said to my surprise, that it was special order Early 911 'Gemini Blue'...

Now this is a color I'm very familiar with, with friends cars as well as explaining that my car is not that color !!!!

I guess to my eye, on that scale of a car, with that much metal to cover, and without the 'Early' 911 visual cues and highlights I'm used to … it looked like a completely different color.....

The longer I looked at it the more I realized that... Yep... it was Gemini Blue....

Sorry for the early morning light pic...

Loved seeing the new 2017-18-19's in Early 911 colors. Parked next to a Early 911, same color. Hope you do it again in So Cal soon. Hope my Olive Targa will be ready next time!

Thank you guys for coming! And it was great to see both of you, even if only too briefly. Chuck keep on keepin' on—you are more appreciated than you know, even with all of us telling you so. And I smiled wide when I saw your blue 911 roll in.

Great to see you too, Ray, and you know that Olive Targa will be welcome at any Rare Shades!

Because Rare Shades had kind'of'a handshake with Pete's 914 celebration, there was lots of very cool and significant 14's on display....

    Pete,

Heard it was a great event. Though I had registered and was accepted, unfortunately, I wasn’t able to make it. Thanks again for putting this on!

Seeing your car parked next to that newer Porsche that is Gemini Blue which is obviously a much lighter color, how could anybody think your car's color was Gemini Blue, it's not even close in that picture
