The project car market is reminding me of butter left on the counter for a day or two.... Seems very weak for a matching numbers car.

Numbers matching, sunroof car sold by one of the east coasts most serious dealers/restoration houses. Unsold at a 2009 valuation? What word other than soft would you use to describe this market? I certainly don't think that's very strong bidding on a car with excellent potential.

My point, probably could have been better stated, is that this is the new normal. So, I don't know if you can call is "soft" as this has been going on for some time now. Apparently, people are beginning to realize how expensive it is to restore these cars and there is little to no money to be made in "investments" like this. Thanks.

Anyone who believes a total restoration is easy (or cheap) has never done one.
