thanks once again for your responses.
As user 'geneulm' mentioned there's always caveats with these things, but these are the only pictures of the Martini works cars' engine bays I could find at the actual 1973 Targa, and obviously both are not very clear as they must have been scanned.
I can't say for sure, but the engine bay of R6 (#8 car) seems to show the reflection of hard lines next to the pressure cap on the MFI injection pump, and the sister car (#9, which was a rebuilt 1972 car so not sure if that even means anything) does visibly have the hard lines. So yes, someone may prove us wrong over time, but based on all of this i will go with the hard fuel lines. Thanks!
(both pictures are from the Targapedia website.)

"if nothing goes right, go left!"
Another piece of the puzzle.
I bought the RSR camshafts and 4-bearing housings a couple of months ago, only to find that the actual magnesium chain housing covers with feed for these centre-lube cams, and the corresponding seals were much harder to trace down.
I finally managed to find me a set, and they were delivered this morning. One less item to source.
Other than that, I masked the front and rear bumpers a few weeks ago for the orange, but we didn't get to it. We decided on Tangerine instead of the red of the Martini striping or the RAL3024 signal color i mentioned previously.
Again, we're not 100% sure this is correct, but comparing it to the period picture below, i think it's pretty close!

Long time ago I had a car that was Volkswagen L20D Clementine - looks spot on. On below pic the color is still wet so it is a bit more dull in real life. I recently discovered I had a rest of the color and painted my jack with it. I still have some left if you want I can ship it to you.
what do we think of this?
