    Warranty Books

A little too much time on my hands today so I thought I'd post the following. Only have the old version of Dr. Johnson's book so he may already have covered this in new addition

1968 As usual one year only. Both book one and book two shown. See hole punches for Book 2. This was done for all years I think. I do not have but have seen on the internet a 1967 paper only book as above but carries designation of Book 2. Sorry for crappy phone camera pictures. Like to find somebody to undertake printing of the '67 booklet based upon interest from members.

Claudius Very interesting. I have 3 of the '68 versions. Two are also W331e markings but only say MAINTENACE RECORD (No USA or CANADA wording). One was issued on an 11/06/67 912 and the other was on an 3/6/68 912. The third book is the one with the "2" hole punched in it but carries the "USA and CANADA" designation. It is listed as "4302.21-01000-03-69 M". None of mine have the leather like vinyl. I thought that the 3rd book was a continuation book, but appears to be a duplicate of the original ones. Must have been given out if lost or maybe even resale. Glad to meet another Warranty Book anorak.

I think your "2" hole punched listed 4302.21-01000-03-69 M is printed 3/69 either for replacement if lost or as the second booklet if the first one was full.
Is there any the edition date of the 11/06/67 and 3/6/68 booklets printed after the W331e? Thank you.

VII. 67.M. Clearly prepared in anticipation of the '68 model year. As to the hole punched one clearly limited to a replacement for the original. Everything inside is set up for original purchase, warranty period (3000 miles) and finally regularly scheduled maintenance (6000 miles). Even has a second "first" page for vehicle numbers, delivery date, and dealers info. Also interesting to note on first page instead of the words "vehicle owner" it substitutes "new owner". Also says good for 911 S L and T. Also for 912. Says USA on first page but we had no "S" in USA in '68. Fairly generic printing.

Found this one on a recent BAT listing. No sure what the hole punches were for on the edge.
