    Literature Meet R Gruppe Drive

What a great drive. Here are some pictures I took. Hopefully, we'll get more pictures together (Sam?) in the thread.

I'm not sure if our group of four cars (me, Tyson Schmidt, Chris Tallon and Rob Dickinson) went the wrong way, or if the rest of the group took a different route, but we waited and no one caught up with us. I had to miss the dinner, so I ended up not being able to say goodbye and thanks to everyone (especially the organizers -- thanks!).

Here's a 11-meg Quicktime Clip I took, using a camera mount on my front bumper.

    If you've got a high-speed connection, then here's a 71-meg Quicktime Clip of 10 minutes of driving.

Excellent video, worth the wait to download.

Its always a good sign that you're on a great road when you see a bunch of bikes parked along the way. Of course they probably thought it must be a good road too, watching all those 911's scream past too

Nice pics too Jack, hope to see some more from others.

Yeah, we passed The Rock Store which (apparently) is a kind of Sunday-afternoon Mecca for both the Harley and Import-Bike sets.

    The Renegades

A very special thanks to all the folks who were so hospitable to Earl Green and I during our Lit Fair stay in LA: Chuck Miller, Stephen Childs, Curtis A., SWB Sam, Sherwood Lee, Dave Buhain, Dick Moran, Rob Wolford, and Roger Grago. It was also great to see everyone else including Rick Cabell, Kevin Beard, Ray Crawford, Mike & Diane Mascaro, Eric Linden, Ernie Wilberg, and Cris Huergas.

Here's a few images from Saturday's fun run of that crazy bunch of Mulholland Canyon "renegade runners" (L to R: Earl Green, Stephen Childs, Diane & Mike Mascaro, and Chuck Miller):

Thanks for the great movie Jack! I presume the engine sound is your car the whole time, not the car in front, correct?
    Sounds great too!
Made me homesick for sunny cal alright.

Yes, the sound was something I forgot to think about when I wired up the front camera. The microphone was actually inside the car, rolling around behind the seats.

    Tyson's car (a '69) sounds great, though. It's a 3.2 piped into a stock early muffler.
