I bought this '67S about two years ago. It was rough but complete and numbers matching. I re-did the interior and did as much cosmetically on the exterior as I could but it really needed paint. The body was wavy and the original light ivory color had been changed to a sort of medium blue metalic. I drove it for the past two years but in February I got busy. I dissembled it completely inside and out including removing all removable body panels. Freddie Hernandez did the body work and painted it back to it's original light ivory. He did a beautiful job. I sourced a lot of the parts I needed from salvage cars at EASY. Without the dozens of small parts I got from their salvage cars plus some new parts I couldn't have done it. I finished the project (well almost...are they ever totally finished?) on the Saturday of the RGrupe get together in Monterey two weeks ago. I drove over to it that afternoon. I built the car as a lightweight Rally car but I have all the original trim and deco so I can convert it back to a totally stock look in a weekend if I want to. It's great to have it back on the road again in it's original light ivory color.
Richard,
good to meet you at EASY and the picture doesn't do justice to a really fine job.

Wow! Very nice. Looks great. I got my S, a '69 two years ago as well. I've got a ways to go yet though. I'm envious. Good for you.

Richard,
I'm also building an R replica and your car is exactly how I want mine to look. Clean, neat, cool.
Can we see more pics of the interior ??

A not so stock 1970 911S. But I'm the second owner- purchased in 1978 - and I still have the original (matching number) 2.2-liter and trans in the garage. One day, I'll restore it to original.

Welcome aboard Mitch...
Still have that early hood badge you gave me at Buttonwillow when your car was still green...
