The bronze '32 three-window with Chrysler Fire-Power is an awesome 50's piece; it's the car that appeared on "The Life of Riley", but you would have to be as old as me to know that...

    Nice images!

Well, it's nice to see my old RSR doing so well at the Blackhawk auction....oh well, someone else got the big appreciation; but I had the fun of racing it.....I sold it in 1987 for $34,000. But, it was a very tired race car at that time. Nevertheless, from 34 to over 850 is quite a leap!!

Dude, don't even start looking backwards; that 20/20 hindsight $h!t will EAT YOU ALIVE!!

Besides, at $850K you can't even run it without having to fire up the press and start printing Benjamins.

    John,

Great pics. Thanks so much for sharing them with us. As an East Coaster, I am not sure when I'll get to Pebble Beach (for golf or the cars), but you made it a lot more real.

I was in the back parking lot at PB on Saturday AM and saw the yellow Duesenberg "Racer" being off-loaded from the transporter. I couldn't get up to if fast enough to check it out. It is spectular and I'm not surprised to hear it won Best of Show.

The Blitzen Benz was driven around Laguna Seca a few laps on Sunday. Pretty cool, didn't know it held speed records. Thanks much for sharing the photos.
