    Gary,
Without reference to my library, the Rest of World basic 911s / 912s came without the rubber pads from '64 to '73.
That is the 912,911T,non-Lux pack 911s and some markets basic 911L .
When the pads became available about '69 MY ,then they were standard on the US market cars.
In 1970 the ROW T would have plain guards and the US version would have the pad guards.

1970 914-6 - materialised from the 'Lotto' garage into reality
    1971 2.2 911 S - now back in the UK - sob!
1975 Carrera Targa (ROW) - missed.
One of us is fast becoming a valuable antique.

    Bumber guards

Was the bumber guard without rubbers exactly the same as the one with rubbers? Does anyone have original pics of both guards they could post?

    Bumber pics

Thanks Andy. Would you say the bumbers are exactly the same profile/width etc - just one has the rubbers bolted on and the early type not?

The 70T I just bought was originally ordered in Germany before being brought to San Diego a year later and it has the bumperttes without the rubber and I'd say I like it better with the all chrome look. It's very classic looking. -Scott
