Scott, I have #2375, June 1970 build, so you are likely July if they continued to make roughly 500/month.

0036 has been buchared, would be worth a lot more $ if it was stock, woundering if the fenders are still the origional one,s. cut off the fake flairs and return to stock. this was at one time a special car produced in the lot of 52 early 914-6 cars. if the ID numbers have not been altered buyer beware.

I called the seller. It sounds like a true original survivor. The color is Willow Green. Pretty color.

He wants $80,000 for the car.

I'm helping a friend sell his 914/6. The car was initially built to run in tarmac rallies then later moved to a more circuit suitable spec (both set of springs/bars included). In either configuration, the car is fine to drive on the road and is currently road registered. The basic specs are as follows:

    1. Body
Genuine 914/6, chassis no 9141430403 built October 70. Factory Certificate of Description. Euro delivery. Fully restored in 2002 to concourse level, including sand blasting the bare shell, four new guards, new floor, new sills, doors, finished in Protek two pack paint. New rubbers seals throughout. Fibreglass bonnet, boot and bumpers. Full roll cage, with removable front section. Chassis reinforcing kit installed and body seam welded. New tinted banded windscreen. Weight 970kg wet. Car has also been also converted to right hand drive.

    2. Cockpit
Sparco Rev race seats, 5 point harnesses, fire extinguishers, Terratrip, CD/radio, Intercom, immobiliser, shift lights, wide angle rear vision mirror.

    3. Suspension
Front – Mueller roller bearings, widened wishbones (16mm) and reinforced, raised spindles, lowered steering arms, turbo tie rod ends, Koni externally adjustable gas shocks, Weltmeister uniball top shock mounts, 23mm torsion bars. 20mm adjustable sway bar. (19mm torsion bars included).

Rear – Uniball mounts inner and outer on suspension arm, Uniball top shock mount, Koni externally adjustable gas shocks, Hypercoil 300lb springs with tenders (Eiback 145 lb included) on adjustable abutments, 19mm and 16mm adjustable sway bars.

    4. Engine
2.7 litre with 7R case conservatively producing approx 245 bhp. Recent engine out service. Timeserted case with steel head studs. Reground and re-nitrided crank, ARP rod bolts, JE 10.3:1 forged pistons, GE80 cams, Vmax valve springs with titanium retainers, ported cylinder heads, hydraulic tensioners with wide boss idlers, new rocker shafts and refurbished rockers, PMO 46mm carburettors with K & N rain hat air cleaners, PMO fuel pressure regulator, twin plug ignition with 964 distributor, programmable ignition timing via EMS computer, programmable upshift and downshift lights, 4 second fuel pump cut off, Magnecor KV85 ignition leads, 2 x M & W Pro 10 ignition units. Programmable rev limiter. Factory heat exchangers (HPC coated) with custom lightweight muffler with O2 bung. Aeroquip oil lines. Front mounted oil cooler with air box.

    5. Gearbox
Close ratio 1-4 with standard 5th. Internal oil system with spray bars using sportomatic pump driven off camshaft and spin on filter. Billet intermediate plate. ZF LSD set to 40/40. Apex jointed and uniball supported gear linkage, with additional lock out springs on first and reverse. Converted to side shift linkage. Motul FF LSD full synthetic oil. Provision for cooler. Late model 8 bolt CV joints.

    6. Clutch
Jim Berry Race Clutch, 911S aluminium pressure plate, 2,500lb clamp pressure, 5 button carbon metallic plate, hydraulically operated.

    7. Brakes
911 3.2 Carrera discs front and rear, 4 spot Wilwood calipers all round with stainless braided lines. QFM A1RM pads all round (roughly equivalent to Ferodo 2500 compound).
Tilton pedal unit bias adjustable, hydraulic hand brake,

    8. Wheels
    4 x Performance 15 x 7 Superlite wheels with Nitto 01 205 x 50 x 15 tyres. 5 x Performance 15 x 7 Modular wheels with Dunlop D02G 195 x 55 x 15.

    9 Sundry Spares.
Steel bonnet and boot lid, original steel bumpers, rear trailing arms, brake pads etc. original seats and mounts and tracks, back pad, and other odd and ends. Boxes of incidental items. Spare gear box and engine case.

The owner is fastidious in his preparation, the car is so clean you could eat of it. It is also a hoot to drive. Asking price AU$75000 (roughty the same in US$ at present). Car is in Sydney, shipping to USA/Europe is about $3k.

Please let me know by PM if you have any interest and I can put you in contact with the owner.
    Cheers, Ryan

Its been a long road with many who labored with care over many months to preserve its originality. You know who you are, and I thank you immensely. See you at the Parade.
