    SWB Fender ID

Trying to identify this SWB fender - seems to be an aftermarket fender, when it was sold as a 68 Fender
Nice shape, but I fear it would be $640 down the toilet. Any tips much appreciated.

That's most likely a '68 fender. Can you post a shot of the inner lip of the wheel well? It should be tapered being narrower at the top.

It has the tabs in the headlight bucket like a 68. They were not present in a 67.

Thank you for the responses. The big red flag is no date stamp in the headlight bucket!
I will compare the taper to a 66

I do not believe 68 fenders are date stamped.

Ahhhh the sixties... I envision myself one early Saturday morning wearing plaid shorts, black shoes with white socks smoking a cigarette heading to the hardware store to buy a bag of nails.
SWB cars are an acquired taste however once acquired theirs no turning back.

Early vehicles had the last three digits of the chassis number and the letter S if it was an S car, but no date stamps. I do not know the size or stamp type style of the headlight bucket stamping. I know 67 had the stamping. I am not certain about 68 cars

Thanks . That is the big mystery. Did 68 fenders have no stamping?
