My Ex-Mother-in-law has now decided to sell her Triple Black 560. She is 75 years old and is the original owner. I'd have to check, but I believe the car has 120,000 miles on it. She has records and the car has a couple of minor dings. If you're truly interested, I'll get you more specific details on the car.

So if a 560 SL with a manual trans is unavailable for us here in the states how difficult (or easy) would it be to install one?

I'm really starting to like these cars and if I were to buy one I would seriously consider doing the swap.

The conversion is prohibitive...parts availability and cost wise. If your set on a Manual shift, I'd be on the hunt for 84/84/86 Euro 500SL...still a tough find in a manual shift, but there out there. You get the small Euro bumpers as well.

I am not Gary, I promise you I spoke to my Ex Mother-in Law last night. She wants 14K for the car. It's MY 1989 with a 112,000 miles. Both tops with a new soft top, but the car does have a couple of small scratches. No accidents. I haven't seen the car in a few years and she is actually 80 years old as she reminded me last night. She thinks that she might have the original window sticker but she is unsure and will have to check her files.

I would consider selling my 72, but understand that it is a running and driving project...PM me if you want to get deeper into either one of these cars.

You can call me GS or Steve and I have a Sand Beige SWB
