Thread: Four bolt flanges ? What is up with that ?

    10s of thousands of 911s (many with far more HP than your engine) have run those 4 bolt flanges with 2 roll pins for decades with no problems.

    You'll be fine. The key is to use new or good used tight fitting roll/dowel pins. You only have issues if the pins aren't fully in contact with both flanges, seated firmly, and start to walk out.
    Also use new fresh schnorr washers on the bolts!

    If they fit well in your '86 930 CV's, which didn't use them...

    Spiralstift/Spiral Pin/"Roll Pin" S10x20
    Porsche number 999.095.019.00

    Should be same pins in 914 CV's too, so can source used ones, maybe from Jim.
