I just won this Celette bench on ebay. Other than renting from Celette, anyone have information on where to get fixtures, do they come up from time to time?
Will come in handy when doing my S.

Neat find, shipping costs must be huge unless local. The fixtures come up every once in a while, I think brakekiller said that there are many shops in Europe selling off their celette eqpt.

2 ways they were set up
original as in the factory repair manual where each car model had a box full of fixtures
and the later set-up where there were universal pedastals and you just changed the top
attachments,
you are going to need cross members and then the fixtures ,
also if you are going to pull the car straight on the frame dolly you will need a dozer , clamps , chains etc
I think most people just mount a body shell on the jig to make sure its straight and leave it on as they build the car ,
but a production body shop would need the dolly for the next job
and yes I am looking for the 356 fixtures

The frame is the easy part....
The fixtures are another story. A set sold here in france recently, with he frame and the fixtures for 10500€!!!!
You cand find a frame with the cross members and the towers for about 2000€ But still miss the fixtures!!
If someone owning the fixtures could take measurements???

Blackhawk made dedicated fixtures for their own bench that was essentially identical to Celette up to about 1980 or so, and then I understand there was a lawsuit and Blackhawk lost. I have a set not for sale but finding a Black hawk set might be a possibility. The bench and crossmember bolt patterns are exactly the same and the BH is build just as strong if not stronger.
If you want to buy the intermediate set MX (I can't remember the original cost from Celette but somewhere about $7000) I will sell them (you pay freight) as I don't plan on doing anymore late Porsches. You will need the cross members (where are the one's that were with the bench?).

That's just a bare bench.
You need a lot of other parts to make it function.
I just priced a set of 911 fixtures, $17K!

Thanks Roy, what years does the intermediate set cover? My reason for buying the bench is to put my 69S on it some time in 2014.

The intermediate set just gives you the towers to install fixtures on, so no specific years just another piece of the puzzle.
Yeah, I've got a lot to learn on this thing. Have a year so that will help. A friend over on Pelican pointed me to the kits Celette sells, I may just go for a package from them in the end.
