That website looks like a great little site for future reference......once the car is stripped, rust removed and then painted the reassembling will begin. As with all projects there is a budget in mind so this may extend the time frame depending on things.

My Brother gave me a hand today........and yes the engine and gearbox are now out. I am thrilled the engine is out and quiet surprised that the engine and gearbox came out so easily.

So i had a bit more time to work on the car today, i removed the rear engine cover, removed the rear electrics, remove the rear trailing arms, removed the head liner, and even had a quick look at the front struts. The front struts ended up having orange BOGE struts in them, so will now have to look at what to replace them with for future, but thats down the track.
I haven't remove the loom yet was looking at it and thought i would ask what is the best way to remove it. Do i just pull it all forward from the rear and out in the center of the car ? or do i disconnect as much as possible and pull it backwards and out the rear of the car ?

Had a bit more time to work on the car, pulled out the windscreen wipers and dials, and pulled out the sunroof. Also started to remove the rear torsion bars, only got the 4 bolt spring plate covers off. So was thinking whats the easiest way to remove the rear torsion bar ?
Also with rear trailing arms, what is better ? powder coating or just cleaning them up and preparing them to be painted black again ?

thought i would add a few photos, these are for future reference for the wiring of the dials as i took these just before i pulled the dials out. I taped the wires together in bunches for each dial. fingers cross this works and helps me when i put them back in.
