Does anyone have a permanent or semi permanent solution to chalking of the ignition bezel or interior door handle plastic? Gled

I have used Rit fabric dye to colour seatbelt plastics with good results.

Simple Green applied with white grade fibertex. Then after rub in some Meguiar vinyl and rubber cleaner treatment. I did this once and it never went chalky again.

White fibertex is the least aggressive. Green the most, red is medium.
