Joey...you may have your shot at it at some point...but you will have to wait until I have my way with it.

This is the way it is heading for now...only LHD of course...and 8+9x15 wheels, plus a whale tail.

A friend has a 77 Carrera 3.0 he bought in Germany when he worked there. Purportedly a factory employee car. It's likely a Sonderwunsch car at it's built on a 77 Turbo Chassis. It has the relief in the rear latch panel that the turbo cars incorporated. The chassis serial number is a '77 Carrera 3.0 BUT like I said it has this feature along with the beautifully butt-welded flares. It's real and with the addition of a Auto Associates Scott McPherson 3.2 S/S MFI engine it's pretty strong too.
The original engine is "pickled" for now but was a fine running piece. This is the engine you seen in the 1st photo.

to me both Gib & Rolly Resos have been trendsetters with the way they setup their cars & have always inspired me, hence " fashionista".

    Joey,

I am honored that you consider Rolly and me in such regard as he is an icon in the R Gruppe these days. Almost every time I log onto this registry, the Dana Point Concours pics are scrolling and Rolly's red-white-black SWB hotrod is visible. I have tried to offer him some paint at past gatherings, but it seems he is satisfied with the color scheme...
