Thread: Welcome to VINTAGE SPORTSCAR RESTORATIONS

+1. And more importantly I love the way Freddie went about it. There have been new players (not necessarily in the restoration field) who have been plastered *all over* all the magazines, boards, forums, shows, youtube and I for one appreciate how Freddie went about marketing his business. Subtly, supplying great shots and documenting fantastic work, letting the work speak for itself, adding useful tips for the rest of us, answering questions whenever they were asked (like other restorers on this board, thank you all).... the exact opposite of a marketing blitz! Very well done. As a result, the day I can afford his services, I will...
    Greg.

Meet Alberto. He flew in from Guadalajara Mexico with his beautiful family to see the new toy. We set out a game plan to restore his 1967 911S (AKA El Chavo) I can't wait to start on this jewel. The interior in this car is simply astonishing...so well preserved I'm afraid to touch it. Aside from most of the interior, the car will get a full restoration to a showroom VSR quality. On his way out, Alberto wrote a message on the decklid for the VSR team: "My Guys I really trust you!" Great car great guy! Alberto thanks for your trust and fine Tequila right from the heart of Guadalajara. Something tells me this car I will have to special deliver myself. Vamonos muchachos!

Hi Mike. It took me all but 2 minutes to know this was the car for Alberto. I moved on this car at warp speed.

During the dissasembly of Albertos' 1967 911S I found this quarter dated 1967. You just never know what you will find under the carpets or inside the seats. What does it all mean???

The 67 911S will soon be ready for a bath in Sodium Hydroxide tank at 180 degrees OUCH!. It will set in the tub for several days until the metal is shiny clean metal that I can lick. Thereafter it will be rinsed in Phosphate. Now it can be said of the car that is truely a "rust free" car.
