I miss that car! Larry is really having a blast with it and that's all I could ask. One day I'll figure out a way to get the ST and the old RSR together. Wish I could afford to keep them all. -Scott

    Thanks Chuck.

I have thoroughly enjoyed Scott's car since June of 2011 after passing the test. He has built a masterful R Gruppe RSR, that is admired by so many at any Porsche Club event that I attend. My past history with the marque was an '89 C4 that I would occasionally autocross, so to re-enter with such an awesome car is a priviledge. I did email Scott a photo of a purposefully built accomodation for the car that is climate controlled. In this area of Texas , the heat and humidity are abysmal.

The photos above of the car at Texas World Speedway (TWS) are so familiar -I saw them at the track taken by another early S owner. He's right; the car's front and road rash areas were properly covered in helicopter tape. I was told by so many PCA membes that I should take it to the track. With so little experience in driving such a car I completed the first course at the Porsche Sport Driving School to familiarize myself. The first DE at TWS was a real show. This car drew a crowd the entire weekend with even one driver asking if he could have sex with the car. Others commented on the sound being the best there. That was something to say with all the GT3's and GT3RSR's around.

I have been lucky in my search for a mechanic. Scott had suggested I use Ed Mayo of Mayo Performance in Euless, Texas, which is a 4 hour trip one way. Mike Callas of Rennsport is just a 45 minute drive and he is so familiar with the original RSR and MFI problems. I will continue my driving instruction with an additional DE in a few weeks followed by the Master's course at the Porsche Sport Driving School at Barber Motorsport.

Here's another photo of the car at TWS.

Thanks so much Chuck and Mark.

I really love driving this car and at the same I really enjoy taking care of it from a cosmetic viewpoint, i.e. detailing. My daily driver, that I didn't list, is an '05 350 Z that just turned 210,000 miles and I still get complements on its appearance.

One funny thing is when I attend the PCA DE's, the instructors REALLY enjoy showing me the track. Anyone could see the pleasure on their face.

He sold my RSR ( I still consider it mine) to a guy in Northern California. I don't know who he is other than a car collector of all types. I'd love to see it at Rennsport if it were to show up there. -Scott
